Unlock Streaming Screenshots: Workarounds for Netflix, Prime Video

🎬 You can take screenshots of streaming media on your computer by disabling hardware acceleration on Chrome and Edge or using the Video Screenshot extension on Chrome and Chromium-based browsers.

📷 Disabling hardware acceleration on Chrome involves going to Menu > Settings > System and turning off the Use hardware acceleration when Available feature,

while on Edge, you need to go to Menu > Settings > System and Performance and disable the Use hardware acceleration when Available feature.

🔥 If you're a Firefox user on Windows 11, you can take streaming screenshots without any additional steps.👉

If you're on a different platform, you need to go to Settings > Performance and uncheck the Use recommended performance settings option and disable the Use hardware acceleration feature.

💻 Video Screenshot extension for Chrome and Chromium-based browsers adds a Camera button to the video player interface and saves the screenshot to your Downloads folder.

❌ However, the Video Screenshot extension doesn’t capture subtitles.

👋 Goodbye to blank screenshots on Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, and other streaming services!
